Fight or flight…

You know, the story about the body’s response to threats like sabre tooth tiger attacks back in cave times.

Life is a lot different now, don’t you agree?

Sure, there are plenty of real life and death situations, but the average person doesn’t encounter them that often.

So why are our bodies in a continual state of fight-flight?

In today’s world, the threats are perceived.

Will you die if you miss the deadline at work?

No. But you still perceive the threat of getting a bad performance review, missing the promotion, or losing your job.

We do it to ourselves with the help of the messages we get from every direction.
